A wedding at our Catskills barn usually means a wedding with a big role for the outdoors. That’s also why we won’t host weddings before the end of May (spring and summer really start about three weeks later here than they would in downstate New York), or after the first weekend of October (by mid-October, day temperatures can still be pleasant, but in the evening temperatures can also drop into the thirties in a matter of hours, where as in earlier months evenings tend to be very nice).
So last weekend was our last wedding weekend for the year. And Chris and Christy’s wedding was a perfect finale to a wonderful summer and fall of celebrations. Two wonderful, creative people, bringing a great group of family and friends, plus some gorgeous twists to our barn. The magic of fall surrounded us. A wonderful dinner was served by the talented people of The Rhinecliff. And the crowd went wild at our towering bonfire. Congrats, Chris and Christy!
